It’s a psychological fact that when you go through change and transition, your confidence can feel undermined. This is because new situations take you out of the comfort zone of your learned behaviour, thus creating ambiguity and uncertainty. Most people don’t cope well with this until the new situation starts to feel comfortable and for some their normal sense of self confidence returns. For others, it takes much longer for their confidence to return, especially in life changing situations like the loss of a partner through bereavement or divorce.
My approach to lifestyle and confidence coaching is specifically designed to accelerate this process of regaining and rebuilding your confidence, setting new goals in your life and having the support, challenge and encouragement of an objective person to help you re-emerge with the life that you would love to have.
Friends and family are clearly key in this but many people benefit particularly through having a skilled and independent coach, whose only agenda is to enable you to achieve your outcomes.
I have spent my entire career in the field of people development, initially as a professionally qualified HR Manager then specialising in leadership development and coaching. In 2000, I trained and qualified as an executive and life coach, integrating those skills into my work as an independent consultant, trainer and facilitator, working for companies in the UK and internationally.
I am fortunate to have enjoyed a successful and fulfilling professional career from which I have learned so much. Now looking towards retirement, it’s my desire to share my skills and experience to help other women navigate their way towards managing the transitions in their lives.
My approach
Phase one – Discovery (free of charge and no obligation)
We would initially discuss your needs and goals and, if coaching appears to be the right approach for you, how we might work together.
I would follow up with a coaching plan outlining the ideal number and frequency of coaching sessions to achieve your desired outcomes and the cost involved.
Phase two – Transition programme
Assuming you decide to proceed, we would follow my recommended coaching plan, with sessions on a regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. These can be in person in my home studio, in London or by telephone or Skype calls, whatever suits you best.
Phase three – Review and Celebration
On completion of the programme, we would have a final session to review what you have achieved and learned along the way. We would plan how you can embed the change into your day to day life and identify the support you will need to stay on track.
Throughout this process, you will have the reassurance of working with a qualified and experienced coach. Since 2000, I have worked with over 200 coaching clients and am accredited by the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
